Here we are on the Avenida del Albir, en route towards Benidorm, with the imposing Puig Campana towering in the background.

Like all Spanish small towns and villages, the cars have (over the last 20 years)conquered the streets, making it a risky undertaking for any pedestrian, to reach the other side of a street, even with an arm raised on a zebra crossing.

However, Albir offers sidewalks everywhere,   which is not so in many small villages, and!... they are even made to accommodate for people with wheelchairs, as can be seen at the left on the zeebra crossing.
